Ortonville Community Historical Society

About Us
OCHS is a non-profit organization focused on preserving our community's history. The Old Mill Museum is open Saturdays; 10-2 and by appointment.

Our Mission
To support the Ortonville, Brandon and Groveland community by preserving the history and historical artifacts of the people and buildings.

Description
Ortonville Community Historical Society is a group of concerned citizens of the Brandon and Groveland Townships; and the Village of Ortonville. This group has preserved the Grist Mill on 366 Mill Street and it now houses an extensive musuem including a military display, country store, farm implements and fire engine, household displays and a working rug loom. In addition the Mann One-Room Schoolhouse has been relocated to our property and is available for tours or reenactments.

General Information
The museum is open to the public on Saturdays from 10 am - 2 pm and by appointment.
Persons can choose a self-guided tour or tour guides are available.
Our volunteer staff is available for private tours and reenactments by appointment.
