The Old Mill Museum is all decorated for Christmas now. See this 8 foot tree with antique ornaments, hand-made ornaments and a collection of antique toys underneath, just waiting for kids of all ages to enjoy. The toys are loaned to us from the Ken Bush collection and include a authentic Roy Roger's guitar, train set and many more. CHRISTMAS IN THE VILLAGE is December 7th and the Old Mill Cafe will be open at 8:00 am for coffee and donuts, and then at 11:00 am we will begin serving homemade bean soup and hot dogs for lunch. We have a Candy and Sweets Bake Sale all day and the Mountain Dulcimer Troupe playing from 11:30 to 3:00. The Old Mill Museum and Mann One-Room Schoolhouse will be open for FREE tours all day, until 6:00 pm. STOP ON BY!!

About Us OCHS is all about preserving our community's history. The Old Mill Museum is open Saturdays; 10-2 and by appointment. Our Mission To support the Ortonville, Brandon and Groveland community by preserving the history and historical artifacts of the people and buildings. Leadership The museum is a non-profit organization. Description Ortonville Community Historical Society is a group of concerned citizens of the Brandon and Groveland Townships; and the Village of Ortonville. This group has preserved the Grist Mill on 366 Mill Street and it now houses an extensive musuem including a military display, country store, farm implements and fire engine, household displays and a working rug loom. In addition the Mann One-Room Schoolhouse has been relocated to our property and is available for tours or reenactments. General Information Membership Fees: $15 per year individual adult: $20 per year family; $100 year lifetime individual; The museum is open to the public on Saturdays from 10 am - 2 pm and by appointment. Persons can choose a self-guided tour or tour guides are available. Our volunteer staff is available for private tours and reneactments by appointment.
